Originally three cottages dating back to the 1650’s, the building is one of the oldest in the village of West Lulworth. It was once, the home of Bishop Wordsworth of Salisbury (son of the poet, William Wordsworth) and has been carefully adapted over the years to retain its original architectural features, without compromising on comfort.

After many years as a hotel, restaurant and bar, we have now closed our doors and taken it back to basics. We are now a guest house providing b&b accommodation to those in need of a quiet get away.

We love dogs in Dorset and most pubs and restaurants permit them entry, including Bishops Cottage. We do have TnC’s when it comes to the fluffy babies which ensures all guests and dogs are happy and safe during their stay.
We accept a maximum of 1 dog per room and charge £20 per dog regardless of shape and size.
